The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) has begun patch work in areas of the school. This is extremely disruptive to staff as we attempt to complete all teaching and assessments among the many other jobs. We sincerely ask that parents help ensure that their children are completing homework and assignments when they are required to do so.
The ground staff have been busy ensuring the grounds are kept clean and safe and Mr Steenkamp is working hard to make sure the school is in top condition. The Heads of Department are working tirelessly to ensure a high standard of work. Unfortunately the school is not directly in charge of the renovations which is being administered and run by the Gauteng Department of Education. We are reliant on them to finish this small section of work they are busy with. Further Renovations are planned for the school in the next 1-2 years.
Please respect any areas which are out of bounds and taped off, children are not allowed to be in these areas for their own safety.
Despite the disruptions we are grateful for the future development of AMPS and the supportive parents of our community!
If your children are required to bring a pillow or blanket to school (should they be in different classrooms) children must not lose anything. Learners at times forget their items of clothing such as gloves, scarves, beanies etc during this winter period.
