Culture

Sharing music is one of the strongest bonds between people

Anyone who has been on a stage or who has danced in a group or performed with a group of people will understand the sheer exhilaration and thrill of walking on stage in front of hundreds of people who have come to see you at that time, in that setting.

Months and months of practice and careful planning all culminating in that single moment. Stage lights and sound, makeup, cues, decor, dance moves all come together in a complex myriad of stage production and design.

Music Festivals

In 2019 AMPS hosted thousands of visitors at a live show featuring Kurt Darren who performed songs and dances with all grades and included roughly 800 learners!

Art Galas

We host Art Galas of all the learners work. All the best art projects, paintings and projets are displayed for parents to come and enjoy the wonderful minds of the creative learners at AMPS.

Concerts

Our concerts run for the most part of the year and include a massive cast of children. The whole school is involved in planning and set designs and costumes make for many great performances!

Oh the stories you can tell…

Some of the most entertaining moments happen at the most inopportune times. A fallen wig, a missed line, a failing decor piece. School Culture requires learners to think on their feet.

Drama and Culture require dedication and as such, encourage children to work towards a goal and once they reach the goal it will be a memory they will cherish forever.

From Eisteddfods to Music Concerts and plays, culture plays an integral role in the school. Under the instruction and experience of a professional Head of Culture ,Mr Patience and supporting staff, the school has successfully participated in Marimba competitions and various school plays and music festivals. The school also has a dynamic senior choir that performs on a regular basis at choir festivals.

We are also happy to announce that the Isabel Beyers Speech and Drama School has partnered with AMPS.

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life

AMPS has a strong cultural environment thanks to their Cultural lead Mr Patience and supporting staff. Aston Manor Primary School hosts a variety of events throughout the year. We hope you will join us at our Eisteddfodds, plays, concerts, music festivals, talent shows and Art Gala evenings 🙂
