Farewell to Mr Holtzhausen, our very own Coach H. A valued member of our staff whose energy, dedication, and passion shone both on the sports field and in the classroom. Thank you for the positivity, commitment, and care you brought to our learners each day. We wish you all the best on your journey ahead, may it be filled with success, growth, and many joyful moments.

After more than four decades of shaping young minds, inspiring hearts, and serving with unwavering dedication, we say a warm farewell to Mrs Breedt. A teacher who taught with knowledge, led with kindness, and cared with her whole heart, Mrs Breedt’s legacy will live on in every learner she touched. Thank you, Mrs Breedt, for your love, your wisdom and your lifelong commitment to education. You will be deeply missed at AMPS, but your impact will remain forever.

After four years of devoted service at AMPS, we bid farewell to a truly remarkable English teacher, Miss West. Your caring nature, gentle guidance, and love for your subject have touched countless hearts. Your presence has brought warmth, stability, and inspiration to both learners and colleagues, and your impact will continue to shape our school community in meaningful ways. We wish you every success and happiness on your next chapter.

Tessellation in Action: Grade 6

Learners Transform Patterns into Art

This term, the Trade 6 learners explored the fascinating world of tessellation—the art of covering a surface with repeated shapes without any gaps or overlaps. Using the knowledge they gained about transformations—including translations, rotations, reflections, and enlargements—they created vibrant and visually striking patterns.

From simple geometric designs to more complex, interlocking shapes, the learners showed creativity and mathematical thinking in equal measure. Their understanding of how shapes can move and fit together beautifully came to life through their artworks, which now brighten up our classroom walls.

It was inspiring to see how mathematics can go beyond numbers to become a form of creative expression. Well done, Grade 6s!
