The AMPS U10 rugby team had an outstanding season and showed tremendous determination throughout the year. They fought bravely in the Ekurhuleni Valke A1 League Final but were narrowly defeated 14–12 by L/S Selection Park in a closely contested match.

Finishing the season as runners-up and securing 2nd place overall is a remarkable achievement. Congratulations to all the players and coaches on a fantastic season and for representing the school with pride.

Our AMPS Mini-Netball teams proudly participated in the Laerskool Edleen Netball Festival this past weekend.

It was a wonderful day filled with teamwork, excitement, learning, and plenty of fun! Every player gave her absolute best on the court, showed great sportsmanship, and gained valuable experience along the way.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our little stars for their enthusiasm, determination, and team spirit!

Tessellation in Action: Grade 6

Learners Transform Patterns into Art

This term, the Trade 6 learners explored the fascinating world of tessellation—the art of covering a surface with repeated shapes without any gaps or overlaps. Using the knowledge they gained about transformations—including translations, rotations, reflections, and enlargements—they created vibrant and visually striking patterns.

From simple geometric designs to more complex, interlocking shapes, the learners showed creativity and mathematical thinking in equal measure. Their understanding of how shapes can move and fit together beautifully came to life through their artworks, which now brighten up our classroom walls.

It was inspiring to see how mathematics can go beyond numbers to become a form of creative expression. Well done, Grade 6s!
