CROSS COUNTRY
AMPS proudly competed at the Gauteng Cross Country Championships this past Saturday at Curro Sagewood in Midrand.
A huge congratulations to Loretta Nyakachanga, who placed an incredible 2nd in her race and has qualified for the SA Championships!

AMPS hosted its annual Inter-House Swimming Gala, and our swimmers gave it their all! We are incredibly proud of their determination, sportsmanship and fantastic performances.
Here’s to an exciting new swimming season ahead! We can’t wait to see what our swimmers achieve next!

Our Senior Choir proudly took to the stage at the Benoni Eisteddfod, marking our first-ever competition as a choir! What an incredible milestone for our talented singers.
We are so proud to have walked away with a Silver award! For our very first attempt at competing, we think our choir did exceptionally well, and this is only the beginning.
A huge congratulations to our learners and a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated choir team for their hard work, commitment and preparation. We can’t wait to see this choir grow, learn and reach even greater heights!

Our Grade 7 learners put their entrepreneurial skills to the test as they hosted an exciting Entrepreneurs Day as part of their EMS project!
It was fantastic to see our young entrepreneurs in action — making smart decisions, managing their stock, keeping track of their profits and, most importantly, learning the value of money along the way.
What a fun and successful day! We are so proud of our Grade 7s for showing such creativity, confidence and business savvy.

Tessellation in Action: Grade 6
Learners Transform Patterns into Art
This term, the Trade 6 learners explored the fascinating world of tessellation—the art of covering a surface with repeated shapes without any gaps or overlaps. Using the knowledge they gained about transformations—including translations, rotations, reflections, and enlargements—they created vibrant and visually striking patterns.
From simple geometric designs to more complex, interlocking shapes, the learners showed creativity and mathematical thinking in equal measure. Their understanding of how shapes can move and fit together beautifully came to life through their artworks, which now brighten up our classroom walls.
It was inspiring to see how mathematics can go beyond numbers to become a form of creative expression. Well done, Grade 6s!

When does an Idea become cool? When two cool dudes get together and launch a company called Cool Ideas. After a few years of deep thought, Cool Ideas was formally launched in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2011 by founding partners Andre Jooste and Paul Butschi.
