Samkelo Tshikhudo secures his place as the 3rd fastest 150m finisher in South Africa

After a nail-biting wait for final confirmation, the results are in. It was incredibly close between the top three! Clocking an impressive 19.74, Samkelo has truly shown his speed and determination on the track.

AMPS is proud to announce that our athletes performed phenomenally at the Gauteng Championships this past weekend.

18 athletes qualified and competed in the finals, with 14 finishing in the Top 10. We also celebrated four podium finishes in individual events, while 12 relay athletes placed among the Top 4 in Gauteng.

AMPS competed in the B-League Inter-Primary Gala hosted by St Dominic’s Catholic School for Girls this past Wednesday. A lot of fun was had, and valuable experience was gained after moving up two leagues consecutively. Our swimmers showed great determination and continue to grow stronger with every gala.

Tessellation in Action: Grade 6

Learners Transform Patterns into Art

This term, the Trade 6 learners explored the fascinating world of tessellation—the art of covering a surface with repeated shapes without any gaps or overlaps. Using the knowledge they gained about transformations—including translations, rotations, reflections, and enlargements—they created vibrant and visually striking patterns.

From simple geometric designs to more complex, interlocking shapes, the learners showed creativity and mathematical thinking in equal measure. Their understanding of how shapes can move and fit together beautifully came to life through their artworks, which now brighten up our classroom walls.

It was inspiring to see how mathematics can go beyond numbers to become a form of creative expression. Well done, Grade 6s!
