Today our Grade 7 learners hosted their Entrepreneur’s Day as part of their EMS (Economic and Management Sciences) curriculum! 🌟

The event gave learners the opportunity to put theory into practice by setting up stalls, managing money, promoting their products and interacting with customers. It was not only a day of fun and excitement, but also a valuable hands-on learning experience that helped learners understand the basics of entrepreneurship, teamwork and responsibility. 👩🏽‍💼👨🏻‍💼

We are proud of the creativity, effort, and enthusiasm our Grade 7s displayed, turning learning into real-life experiences! 💡📚✨

Saving the Rhino project

Rhinos are killed in South Africa at an alarming rate and the Aston Manor community is encouraged to make a difference. Learners can enter a competition where they draw a picture of a rhino or write a short story about a rhino. Attached to the art work or story the learners have to place an envelope with R30-00 as an entry fee. Learners are reminded to write their name, surname and grade on the artwork / story and envelope and post their entry in the post box that is situated in the front office of the school.

  • The competition end date is 19 July 2018. Winners will be announced on 22 July 2018.
  • Monies raised will be donated to the Pilanesberg Wildlife Trust and used to combat the poaching of rhinos.
